A father and son raking leaves noticed something darting in
and out of the piles. Investigation uncovered that amazing creature, the
chameleon. He was difficult to see in the brown leaves because he, too, was
brown.
They caught the little creature and put him in a jar of green
grass. Soon, he had turned a bright green. They added some red berries and he
began to take on that color. He was a prawn to his environment. Wherever they
placed him, he took on that characteristic.
Some people are like that. Wherever you put them, that’s the
color they turn. Their actions and responses depend upon their environment. It
takes character not to be a chameleon. Have courage. Be your own person. Don’t
allow your environment to dictate your behavior.
